The impressive gare des Bénédictins is Limoges main train station. Completed in 1929 and topped with an impressive copper domed bell tower, gare des Bénédictins was designed by architect Roger Gonthier and Limoges residents are rightly proud of the imposing architecture. Fire damaged the original dome in 1998 but it has now been restored to its previous state.

Gare SNCF de Limoges Bénédictins is located north of the centre of Limoges opposite the Champ de Juillet gardens. Central Limoges is accessible from the station via taxi (taxi ranks located outside the station). Buses also connect centrally at regular intervals. If you are travelling light you can walk to the centre of Limoges in around 10 minutes.

Limoges connects with Paris Austerlitz station and Toulouse. 10 trains per day connect with Paris (journey time approximately 3 hours) and trains to Toulouse connect every 2 hours. Return fares to Paris start at around 45 euros. Journey time from St Pancras International to Limoges, via Paris Austerlitz is around 7 hours.
