Limoges medieval old town centres around the Rue de la Boucherie which is home to Limoges finest butchers. The annual Frairie des Petits Ventres festival takes place in October and allows the butchers to display their speciality meats to tourists. The area has its has its own museum, the Maison de la Boucherie which is located at 36 Rue de la Boucherie. The museum contains photographs and artefacts from the streets past.
